Our Commitment

La Miel Aesthetics is committed to providing a website that is accessible to all patients, including those with disabilities. We believe quality medical aesthetic care should be available to everyone, and that begins with ensuring our digital presence works for every visitor regardless of how they access the web.

Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive limitations.

Measures We Have Taken

Our website has been designed and built with accessibility in mind. Specific measures include:

  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions.
  • Color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements throughout the site.
  • Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements, with visible focus indicators.
  • Descriptive alt text on informational images, and aria-hidden on decorative graphics.
  • Form fields with associated labels and clear error messaging where forms are used.
  • Responsive design that adapts to a range of devices, viewport sizes, and zoom levels.
  • Bilingual content in English and Spanish to serve our patient community.
  • Skip-to-content links to assist screen reader and keyboard users.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA, some areas of the site may have known limitations:

  • Embedded third-party content such as Google Maps and the AestheticRecord booking system follows the accessibility standards of those providers, which may differ from our own.
  • Some legacy PDF documents may not yet meet full accessibility standards. If you need a more accessible version of any document, please contact us and we will provide it.
  • We continue to test, audit, and improve the site over time. If you encounter a barrier we have not addressed, we want to hear about it.

Feedback and Contact

If you experience any difficulty accessing our website, or have feedback or suggestions on how we can improve, please contact us. We aim to respond to accessibility inquiries within five business days.
