The visit
What to Expect on Your First Visit
Before you arrive
Complete your intake (takes 10 to 15 minutes). Arrive 10 minutes early for a quick check-in. Come with clean skin (no heavy makeup for aesthetic consultations). Bring a list of medications and any previous aesthetic treatment history. Note any questions you want to ask.
When you arrive
You'll be greeted by our patient care coordinator. We'll verify your intake, confirm your appointment details, and walk you back to a private consultation or treatment space.
The consultation
20 to 30 minutes typically for first visits. Your provider will review your intake, ask about your goals and concerns, do a focused skin and anatomy assessment, and walk you through recommended treatment options. We encourage questions.
If you receive treatment same-day
If your appointment includes treatment (not all first visits do), you'll review the specific treatment plan, review consent forms, and proceed with the treatment. Total time depends on service.
Before you leave
We'll schedule follow-up if appropriate, give you written aftercare instructions (in English or Spanish), review any home skincare recommendations, and ensure you have our contact information for questions.
Pack list
What to Bring
- Photo ID (for medical record and chart match)
- List of current medications and supplements
- List of known allergies
- Photos of previous concern progression if helpful
- Questions, written down so you don't forget
If injectables
What Not to Do Before Injectables
If your first visit includes injectable treatment:
- Avoid alcohol 24 hours before (reduces bruising)
- Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil) 48 hours before if medically safe
- Don't schedule on top of an important event; allow a week buffer for swelling and bruising resolution
Policy
Consultation Fee and Cancellation Policy
Many first-visit consultations are complimentary; specific treatment-room consultations may carry a nominal fee that applies toward treatment if you proceed. We ask for 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling so we can offer the slot to another patient. Our patient care coordinator will confirm specifics when you book.
