A Medical Spa That's Actually Medical
Most med spas in Raleigh operate with a single nurse injector and no physician oversight. La Miel operates differently.
Our medical director, Dr. Susan Lovelle, MD, practiced plastic and reconstructive surgery in New York City for more than two decades before transitioning her focus to aesthetic and functional medicine. She personally guides protocols across injectables, regenerative medicine, medical weight loss, and hormone health. Our lead treatment provider, Adriana Sandoval, RN/MSN, holds her master’s in nursing from Chamberlain University and master injector certifications from Empire Medical Training and Aesthetic Medical Educators Training.
That clinical depth shapes every treatment we offer. When you sit in our chair, a licensed medical professional is reading your skin, your anatomy, and your medical history. Not running a treatment menu. It's the reason patients drive in from Wake Forest, Cary, and across North Raleigh for care they could technically get closer to home.

Not every laser is safe for every complexion. Not every peel protocol accounts for melanin-rich skin. Not every injector has trained on facial structures across ethnicities.
We built La Miel to close those gaps. Our laser platforms include Fitzpatrick-appropriate wavelengths for all skin types. Our melasma and hyperpigmentation protocols are specifically calibrated for Fitzpatrick IV, V, and VI skin, the tones most often mistreated elsewhere. Our injector assesses facial anatomy with the cultural specificity the patient in front of her deserves.
