Why North Raleigh chooses La Miel
Your North Raleigh neighbor.
Most North Raleigh patients can reach us in under ten minutes. What they find when they arrive is a boutique practice with the kind of clinical depth that is rare for a med spa of any size.
We're your neighbor
Located directly on Six Forks Road, minutes from most North Raleigh neighborhoods. No cross-town commute. On-site parking at the door.
Plastic-surgeon oversight
Dr. Susan Lovelle, MD, serves as our medical director with more than thirty years of clinical experience, including practice in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Most North Raleigh medical spas do not offer this level of physician supervision.
Protocols for every skin tone
North Raleigh's diverse community deserves a medical spa that serves every patient safely. Our laser platforms, peel formulations, and injectable protocols are calibrated across the full Fitzpatrick spectrum, I through VI.
Bilingual care
Consultations, treatments, and aftercare delivered in English or Spanish. Important for North Raleigh's Latin community, and for every patient who wants their care in their most comfortable language.
Boutique, not corporate
We keep our schedule intentional. Adriana personally performs every injectable treatment, with full focus on your specific anatomy and goals. No rotating provider roster, no assembly-line pace.
What we treat
The concerns we see most often from North Raleigh patients.
Every plan starts with a one-on-one consultation. Below are the eight categories that bring most of our North Raleigh patients in for a first visit.
Wrinkles & Fine Lines
Dynamic 11 lines, forehead etching, crow’s feet. Our North Raleigh patients typically arrive for a single area and leave with a staged plan that treats movement first and surface lines second.
Sagging & Loose Skin
Mid-face descent and jowl softening that has crept in over the last few years. Non-surgical biostimulator and RF microneedling plans, with surgical timing guidance when that is the better answer.
Facial Volume & Contour
Cheek and temple flattening, lip ratio, chin and jaw definition. Filler placement strategies that respect long-term facial architecture, not chase a single trend.
Melasma & Hyperpigmentation
North Raleigh sun exposure is real year-round. Our melasma protocols layer topical disruption, pigment-safe peels, and selective laser, with full Fitzpatrick safety built in.
Medical Weight Loss
Semaglutide and tirzepatide programs under Dr. Lovelle, with metabolic monitoring and a functional-medicine view rather than a prescription-pad approach.
Unwanted Hair
Laser hair removal calibrated for every skin tone, including Fitzpatrick IV through VI where many North Raleigh patients have been told they are "not a candidate" elsewhere.
Skin Texture
Pores, post-acne texture, dull surface. DiamondGlow, microneedling, peels, and progressive laser resurfacing layered into a maintenance rhythm.
Neck & Décolleté
Tech neck, crepiness, sun-damaged décolleté. Treatments here are about consistency more than intensity, and we plan accordingly.

A consultation tells us what your skin needs. It takes under an hour.
Our providers
A boutique team, accountable to every visit.
Most North Raleigh med spas operate with a single nurse injector. La Miel operates with both a skilled treatment provider and a medical director whose clinical depth shapes every protocol.
Adriana Sandoval Veliz, RN/MSN
Owner and Lead Injector
Master-certified injector with master certifications from Empire Medical Training and AMET. Performs every injectable treatment personally. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Dr. Susan Lovelle, MD
Medical Director and Co-Owner
Former plastic surgeon with more than thirty years of clinical experience. Provides physician oversight on every protocol and leads medical weight loss and functional medicine consultations.
Kimberleigh Emanuel, MA
Medical Assistant and Esthetician
Medical assistant and esthetician supporting Adriana and Dr. Lovelle across treatments, with a passion for skincare, patient education, and laser care.
