Hyaluronic acid fillers add volume immediately and gradually dissolve over 9 to 24 months. You see results the day of, and maintain with periodic top-ups.
Biostimulators work differently. They contain particles (poly-L-lactic acid in Sculptra, calcium hydroxylapatite in Radiesse) that your body responds to by producing new collagen around them. You see gradual improvement over 3 to 6 months as that collagen builds, and the results last 2+ years because the collagen is your own.
Neither approach is "better." They are different tools. Most patients benefit from some combination.
