What are sun spots and dark marks?
Sun spots (also called age spots or solar lentigines) are flat brown spots that form where years of sun exposure made the skin produce extra pigment. Dark marks left after acne or irritation are post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Melasma is different: it is hormonal and heat-sensitive and needs its own careful plan.
How we treat pigmentation
Lasers and light-based treatments target the pigment so the skin can clear it. Which device fits depends on the type of pigment and your skin type, which is why every pigment plan at La Miel starts with a consultation. Daily sunscreen protects the result.
