Restylane in Raleigh is the Galderma hyaluronic acid filler family. At La Miel Aesthetics, we use two Restylane formulations: Kysse, the lip filler built specifically for natural movement, and Restylane-L, the versatile workhorse for moderate facial wrinkles. Both are delivered by master-certified RN Adriana Sandoval under physician direction, and both earn Galderma ASPIRE rewards.

Why Restylane
Restylane was the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler in the United States and remains a clinical workhorse. Compared to Juvederm, Restylane formulations are slightly firmer and more particulate. Some injectors prefer Galderma's behavior for specific areas; some patients have a preference for the Galderma product line and the ASPIRE rewards program.
Two Restylane products see most of our use: Kysse for lip work where natural movement matters, and Restylane-L as a versatile filler for moderate facial wrinkles. Both contain lidocaine for injection comfort and both are fully reversible with hyaluronidase.

Restylane Kysse
The lip filler built for natural movement. XpresHAn technology lets the filler flex with your face, so lips look filled without feeling stiff. Subtle pink-flush color enhancement. Up to 12-month duration.
Suited for: Patients wanting natural-looking lip enhancement, especially those who felt prior filler was too stiff.
Restylane-L
Versatile NASHA filler for moderate to severe facial wrinkles. Premixed lidocaine. Reliable, predictable behavior across multiple areas. 6 to 12 month duration depending on area.
Suited for: Nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lip enhancement, perioral lines.
Switching from Juvederm
Easy transition for patients who prefer the Galderma product line or want to consolidate rewards in the ASPIRE program. Subtle differences in feel may be noticeable; most patients find them clinically equivalent.
Suited for: Patients with strong rewards preferences or who feel slight differences from Juvederm.

Consultation
We map your goals, examine the area, and select between Kysse and Restylane-L based on what you want.
Treatment
15 to 30 minutes. Topical numbing plus the integrated lidocaine makes injections comfortable.
Recovery
Mild swelling 1 to 5 days. Bruising possible. Avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24 hours.
Results and duration
Immediate visible improvement, final look at 2 weeks. Kysse: up to 12 months. Restylane-L: 6 to 12 months depending on area.

Restylane is priced per syringe. Lip treatments with Kysse typically use 1 syringe for first-timers. Restylane-L pricing matches the area treated. Every Restylane treatment earns Galderma ASPIRE rewards. Financing is available for combined plans.
Common questions
Common questions about Restylane
Restylane Kysse and Juvederm Ultra are both excellent lip fillers; Kysse is built for natural movement, Ultra delivers slightly more pronounced volume. Neither is universally better; they are different products with different qualities. Kysse excels at natural lip movement and subtle enhancement. Juvederm Ultra delivers slightly more pronounced volume and can feel slightly firmer. The right choice depends on your goal: 'my lips but better' leans Kysse; 'noticeably fuller' leans Ultra.
