Four Juvederm formulations, four purposes
The Juvederm line uses one underlying chemistry (cross-linked hyaluronic acid) tuned across four products with different particle sizes, cross-linking densities, and flow characteristics. The right product for one area is the wrong product for another.
Using a structural filler like Voluma in the lips would feel stiff and look overfilled. Using a soft filler like Volbella in the cheeks would not produce lift. Matching the product to the area is half of what makes good filler work look natural.
All four are reversible. If something is not right, hyaluronidase dissolves Juvederm filler within 24 to 48 hours.

The most delicate Juvederm. Fine-particle, near-invisible in thin-skinned areas. Used for subtle lip work, vertical lip lines, and carefully selected tear trough candidates. 12 to 18 month duration.
Suited for: Subtle "my lips but better" enhancement, tear trough patients with true hollowing.
Juvederm Vollure
Smooth-flowing, integrates softly. Built for nasolabial folds and moderate facial wrinkles. 12 to 18 month duration. Our first-choice for smile-line treatment.

Juvederm Voluma
Structural filler that holds shape against gravity and movement. FDA-approved for cheeks, chin, and temples. Up to 2-year duration. Often produces indirect improvement of nasolabial folds via cheek support.

Consultation
We map your facial anatomy, discuss goals, and recommend which Juvederm product (or combination) fits the plan. First-time lip patients usually start with 1 syringe.
Treatment
15 to 60 minutes depending on areas. Topical numbing 20 to 30 minutes before, then precise injections with needle or cannula. Product contains lidocaine.
Recovery
Swelling 1 to 5 days, longer in lips. Bruising possible. Avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24 hours. Use arnica for bruise management.
Results and duration
Immediate visible improvement, final look at 2 weeks. Duration varies by product and area: 9 to 12 months (lips), 12 to 18 months (smile lines), up to 2 years (cheeks, chin).

Juvederm is priced per syringe. Lip treatments typically use 1 syringe for first-timers, 1 to 2 syringes for established patients. Cheek restoration commonly uses 2 to 3 syringes across both sides.
