What changes in the lower face?
Several small muscles shape the lower face. The mentalis can dimple the chin like orange peel, the muscles at the corners of the mouth can pull them down, the masseter along the jaw can make the lower face look wide, and the platysma can form vertical bands on the neck.
How we treat the chin, jaw, and neck
Neurotoxin relaxes the muscle behind each concern: it smooths chin dimpling, softens downturned mouth corners, slims the jawline, and relaxes neck bands for a smoother neck. Each area is assessed and dosed on its own.
Your Botox timeline
Typical for Botox. Dysport works a little faster and Daxxify lasts longer; see the comparison below.

Day 4 to 7

Week 2
Full effect
The peak effect arrives. This is when we check in and adjust with a small top-up if needed.

Common questions
Chin, Jaw, and Neck: common questions
Relaxing the masseter, the chewing muscle along the jaw, can slim the lower face over time. Some patients also find it eases clenching. Your injector will assess whether it suits you.
